Export function, Specifically Export to PNG or JPEG are not functioning. I get an “Error Occurred”  every time I go to export the document.

To resolve the “Error Occurred” issue when trying to export a Lucidchart document as a PNG or JPEG, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Your Internet Connection

Ensure that your internet connection is stable. Sometimes network issues can interrupt the export process.

2. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Lucidchart relies heavily on browser performance. Clearing your browser cache and cookies can often resolve export-related issues. Steps to clear cache are:

  • Chrome: Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data. Select “Cached images and files” and click “Clear data.”
  • Firefox: Go to Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.
  • Safari: Go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data > Remove All.

3. Switch Browsers

Try using a different browser. For example, if you're using Chrome, switch to Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge to see if the problem persists.

4. Disable Extensions

Browser extensions, particularly ad blockers or security plugins, may interfere with Lucidchart's functionality. Temporarily disable extensions or open a private/incognito window and try exporting again.

5. Reduce the File Size

If your Lucidchart document is very large, the export might be timing out or hitting size limits. Try simplifying your document by removing unnecessary elements or breaking it into smaller sections and attempt to export again.

6. Update Your Browser

Ensure that your browser is up-to-date. Lucidchart works best with the latest versions of browsers.

7. Try Exporting in Another Format First

If PNG or JPEG export is not working, try exporting the file as a PDF or SVG. Once exported, you can convert the file to PNG or JPEG using an external tool.

8. Contact Lucidchart Support

If none of the above steps work, reach out to Lucidchart support with details about your issue, including any error messages, your browser version, and steps you've tried.
