Dear Lucid Specialists

When I try to embed a lucid chart in my google page I see a lot of grey area around my chart. How can make sure that my page visitors do not need to scroll zoom etc and directly just see the chart?

If I may be blunt: This grey area is completely useless isn't it?

See Screenshot below.

Thanks for your help

Hi Frank

Thanks for posting in the Community!

Could you please post a temporary Support PIN for your document? For more information on generating a Support PIN check out this Help Center article.

This will allow me to take a closer look at what you’re experiencing.

Thank you!

Dear Coumba

I do not see how the access to my document could help here (and I would need to align with my legal department).

To reproduce the behavior you can:

  1. Create a brand new chart with some random content.

  2. Click Share - Embed

  3. Copy the HTML code

  4. Embed the HTML into a google page (for example)

  5. Display the google page

  6. Enjoy the gray spaces - that you can see in my screenshot ;-)

Best regards

Frank

Hi Frank

Thanks for your reply.

The reason why I am requesting access to your document is because I am not able to reproduce what you're seeing on my end and therefore assume that it may have to do with your document itself or your document settings.

That being said you should be able to reduce or even eliminate the grey areas by customizing the size of your iframe to more closely match the dimensions of your diagram. You can do so when activating the embed code by selecting "Custom" from the dropdown menu and then adjusting the width and height of the iframe:
