Building a strong class community at the beginning of the year is so important. Lucid is here to make that easy for you! Check out a few of our game templates: Would You Rather Word Scrambles Tangrams Guess Who and Bracket Challenges.
We used the drag and drop template to have our students pick their club choices for this year. So often students will pick what their friends chose rather than what they're truly interested in. This kept the selection process fun and private. Hoping our students will branch out socially and explore the topics they're interested in.
Hi @shira m I love the way you've customized this template! Thanks for sharing how you are use Lucid to support student learning
I introduce my students to different thinking games in my classroom. Very low prep and few material so the students can play at home or I can quickly take them out here in class. I use them as anchor activities sometimes when my students are waiting for the next activity. I created a board with some of our 'dot' games and a link to the video on how to play. I plan to add more dot games and my students can play together with one computer or create a force copy so they have the games for themselves at home. Here are some of the physical games I've recreated for my students to play. https://www.whatdowedoallday.com/traditional-games/
Here's a Lucid version of one of the dot games:
Hi @kathy r
Thanks for posting this awesome idea in the community! We love seeing how teachers are using Lucid and especially ideas that are easy and low prep -- this is a great example!
