I have been having uses using the stylus in Lucid Spark where it will not write properly and the screen will drag instead of writing.

If enabling Stylus Mode doesn't resolve the issue, troubleshooting tips may be available to help reset or adjust settings, getting you back to creating effortlessly with your stylus

What type of stylus are you using? Can you give me all of the details for the types of devices/browsers you’re seeing this on? For instance, what type of ipad, i-pencil, and browser combo? If you can give me those specific details, I can try to reproduce what you are seeing.

I regularly use an iPad with an Apple Pencil and I haven’t had this issue with Lucidspark or Lucidchart.

I’d recommend you follow ​@Humas1985’s recommendations, or, as ​@Shantel Gillette proposed, share your hardware for a better assessment.

I am having the exact same problem as described above on my new computer. No issues on previous computer. Only difference between the two are the processors. Intel i3 vs AMD Rayzen 7.


Hi ​@friley.scholeacademy, thanks for your comment here and I’m happy to help. Can you confirm that you are using the freehand drawing tool in Lucidspark?

If you’re using a stylus, would you mind confirming what stylus you are using? 

First, I recommend trying the following:

  • Please try again in a private or incognito window. This often improves performance by clearing your cache and cookies and disabling your extensions.
  • Lucidspark is optimized for Google Chrome, so if you haven't already, please try the feature in that browser to see if it resolves the issue.

If the issue persists after trying the above, please send the following information:

  • A screenshot or screen recording of the issue
  • A screenshot of any error messages or pop ups that appear
  • A description of steps you took leading up to the issue and what you are hoping to create, so that I can get a better idea of how you are using the feature
