Detailed Walkthrough: Lecture Flowchart

Haijing uses Lucid to plan out her lectures by creating flowcharts instead of using the typical text only format. This gives her a more holistic view while planning.
Flowcharts allow her to visualize all of the key components to her lectures by using specific shapes and colors to break up the different sections of her lectures and use the line connections to visualize the progression of the lecture, as well as, how each part of the lecture is connected.
Haijing says that, using flowcharts for her lecture planning helps her to better organize class time and provides her with an overview of the key concepts and discussion questions for the lecture.
When planning for her lectures, Haijing finds it helpful to create a key to provide a consistent structure across all of her lectures.

The line connections make it easy to quickly see the progression of the lecture or lesson.
A lecture flowchart makes it easy to ensure that the lecture is well balanced; containing all of the components to a successful lecture in equal amount. Because it is visual, all you have to do is look at the color coded shapes to see if one component is being used too much or too little.
