Group Jigsaw

Detailed Walkthrough:

Jigsaw activities have been a game-changer for collaborative learning in Lucid, where students take turns teaching each other about a topic.  Lucid’s Jigsaw activity gives instructors a good starting place.

Step 1: Open the template and add student names to each group

Step 2: Add content into each group’s breakout board

  • If each group is working with the same template you can duplicate the template into each breakout board.

Step 3: Students go into their group’s space to collaborate and the instructor can pop into each group’s workspace to provide feedback. (Right-click an item on the canvas and choose “Add comment.”)

Step 4: Once everyone is done, students can go into each group’s breakout board for presentations and easily refer back to each groups content after class.

Pro-tip:
Embed articles or resources directly into the canvas by dragging PDFs and extracting each page as an image, making it easy for students to reference content during and after class.
