Professor Highlights | Case Studies

Detailed Walkthrough

Case studies offer detailed, real-world insights into complex issues, problems, and solutions.  Many professors are choosing Lucid to facilitate their case study activities.  In this article we will review a couple examples professors have shared with us.

In this first example, students are divided into groups to analyze and work through separate case studies and then each group will share their conclusions with the rest of the class.  The instructor utilized breakout boards in Lucidspark to easily separate each of the groups, while still allowing easy access to review each other’s analysis after class.

The professor used the main board in Lucidspark to provide instructions and identify who is in each group.

Once students entered the board, they used the breakout board icon to access their specific group workspace.

Each group’s breakout board included their Case Study and their guiding questions.

In this second example, the professor separated the students into groups and had each group review and analyze mini scenarios during class.  Each group was able to see each other's responses in order to enhance their critical thinking and compare each group’s thinking.

Students enter the Lucidspark board and use the table to contents to navigate to each scenario.AD_4nXcGM3Rhixx6meBOrwPE3VXn19AREOlEsaRijXSM9RqJEhpAohNe2-mow-MRn2Ecq3qzaJUUzyWegSIQE4C8o3Llkyn96Fl_JytyF8tZQGc_4F0oqCtP62opYHdeCmrRUB3J1hDEkQ?key=jWMxoFZ3Xb_YgiJI6i-Gs502

Each scenario has a specific section for each group to respond to.
