Samantha uses flowcharts to help students understand how different drugs work in the body. By using a step-by-step flowchart in Lucid, students are able to visually see how the body reacts to each of the different drugs being studied.
For example, when the body detects low blood pressure it activates the RAS system and renin is released. This brings us to our first decision point: Are ACE inhibitors present in the body? Based on the answer to this question students will continue along the flowchart to the next step.
Additionally, as part of the diagram, Samantha uses a drag and drop activity to give students a chance to practice classifying the drugs they are learning about.
