Within any healthcare field there are a ton of complex processes that healthcare workers need to understand. Shannon helps prepare her students to navigate these complicated systems by giving them practice working with and creating process flowcharts.
For this example, Shannon used a decision flowchart to lay out the intake process for students. There are a variety of ways through the intake process and they are all dependent on the client’s answers. This can get very confusing and hard to keep track of for students. By creating a flowchart students are able to visually see how to respond to the variety of answers the client can give and then proceed to the next step in the intake process.
