Video: Florida walks through how she uses Lucid

Detailed Walkthrough
Dr. Florida Uzoaru was looking for a new whiteboarding solution and was excited to find Lucid inside of Canvas. Lucid allowed her to have students both collaborate and turn in assignments in Canvas, which made it much easier than trying to utilize other whiteboard tools outside of Canvas.
“There was not an integration with Canvas for the previous whiteboard I was using, so the only way I could grade was to go from tab to tab which was not the most convenient way to grade their work, so I was interested in trying something new, something better. When we learned about Lucid in Canvas I jumped right in.”
One of her first activities using Lucid was dividing the students into groups to think critically about current public health challenges and propose a strategy to reduce the impact of their assigned health condition on a specific population group.
She created a collaborative board in Lucidspark and added a template for each group in separate breakout boards, then shared it with students by embedding it on the Canvas page as a collaborative activity.
Then, students went into their assigned breakout boards and used the template provided by Dr. Florida Uzoaru to develop their strategies.
Once each of the students were done, students analyzed each other's strategies and voted on which proposed strategy they thought would have the biggest impact and discussed their thinking as a group afterwards.
Lastly, Dr. Florida Uzoaru wanted to grade the student’s individual work in Canvas, so students submitted a screenshot of their work in Lucid to be graded in Cavas’s Speedgrader.
