Detailed Walkthrough

Justin is a physical therapist and associate professor in the physical therapist assistant program at Salt Lake City Community College in Utah.  He uses Lucidspark to help students collaborate together to brainstorm exercises for each of the different phases of rehabilitation.

He starts by splitting the students into two different labs sections and giving each group a copy of the template in their group’s breakout board.  Then, each group is divided into smaller groups of 4 to work together to complete one of the 3 columns in the template.

Each group lists the exercises they're familiar with and have had experience with, creating a “group-think” activity.

This is a powerful learning activity, base for discussion, prior knowledge gap filler, and also serves as a reference as students are coming up with intervention plans and exercises for patients.
