Example: Pondering Our Existence Philosophy Discussion Board

Detailed Walkthrough
Thought provoking discussions are a cornerstone to any good philosophy course. Through dialogue, students can articulate their thoughts, challenge assumptions, gain exposure to various viewpoints, and develop confidence in expressing their own informed opinions.
Instructors use Lucidspark boards to both structure, ground and deepen their class discussions. They start the discussion by sending the collaborative board to the class.
Students add their thinking to the board to kick-start the discussion.

Then, they review and respond to other student’s thoughts using emojis and comments.

Now that students have had time to brainstorm and prepare, they can use the content on the board to drive their verbal discussion. This leads to a much deeper overall discussion and gives students a written record of their discussion that they can refer back to later.
