As a teacher, I use LucidSpark with students.  They need edit access so they can collaborate with sticky notes and participate in the activities, etc.  However, they don’t need edit access all the time or to the entire canvas.  They immediately start putting stickies or drawing over the top of what I’m trying to share with them.

So I tried making them viewers on the whiteboard until I need them to be able to edit, but then they have to reload the page to get the edit option.

It would be nice if there was an option in the facilitator controls to remove the tool bar for participants until we need it.  OR to set edit rights by frame so they can ONLY edit in the frames where we need them to edit.

One way that I get around this is by “Hide”-ing all frames except for the one we’re currently engaging with. Not perfect as participants can still click “Unhide” if they want to but I’ve had good results. Plus this helps keep the group focused only on where we’re supposed to be working at that time. And/or, creating a path on the board and sharing the link to the path to further obscure other areas of the board.

Hi @emilyann, thank you for adding that tip in this thread!

Please allow for permissions that allow you to assign access to certain breakout for individual participants.  Students do tend to wander and place items on boards they should not be accessing.  This would really help with student focus.

We have trouble with this as well when people accidentally change or move something on the board when trying to edit/create/move a card or sticky note.
