Hello;

As a user of Lucid when creating a new document I work with a few shape sets by default including BPMN 2.0.  It would save me several minutes in a day I was able to set this as a default set of shapes.  I noticed a post for 2018 and this still seems to be not working.  Is this on the roadmap as a product improvement?

Hi @john mcconnell k thanks for posting in the community! Unfortunately we do not have any timeline or roadmap to share about this feature request. However I can certainly see how this would be a helpful addition to the product.

The best way to advocate for this feature is by adding your feedback and ideas to our feature request form. Ideas submitted to this form are passed on to the product development team for their consideration.

In the meantime the best workaround for this is by creating a blank template with the required shape libraries already added. This will allow you to create new documents from the template and the preferred shape libraries should already be there. For more information I recommend taking a look at this community comment by our team.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

@john mcconnell k

Have you tried "pinning" the Shapes making them default in the process?

Hi everyone we're excited to let you know that in Lucidchart you can now favorite a shape library by clicking the star to the right of its name. Any favorited libraries will automatically be opened in all future documents you create. For more details check out our Welcome to Lucidchart help center article. Thank you for sharing your feedback in the community!
