Hi there Lucid,
You may be familiar with ‘components’ in Figma; the idea that you can create a master component which you can make children of to use elsewhere in the document. If you make a change to the master component, it applies the same changes to all copies of that master component within the local document.
This would be INCREDIBLY useful for me when working with ERD’s and database design for large scale systems. Often, I want to articulate a particular use case with a subset of ERD’s on a separate canvas, as having all ERD’s on one canvas is challenging for people to navigate.
However, I don’t want to have my ERD’s out of date.
A simple example might be that I create a master property ERD. This ERD would be useful for multiple use cases, such as a repair, or a visit.
Polite request :)
- Be able to create a master ERD that can live in an ERD library
- when the master is updated, automatically update all copies of that ERD across one or many canvases within a page.
