Hi

I have a Chart that contains Action Buttons (used to show or hide layers). Is there a way for me to select which layer I want to print (not all) as well as exclude the Action Buttons from printing?

Thank you

Hi Marisa thanks for your post. While it's not possible to choose only one single layer you can choose to print each individual layer on a separate page then isolate the layer in particular that you want. In the example below I have these sticky notes on corresponding layers:

Then when I print my document I can choose to toggle Show Individual Layers which will cause each layer to appear on a separate page.

While this won't eliminate the associated action buttons I would recommend temporarily removing them in order to print as a workaround. I hope this helps!

Thank you Micah
Is there a way to set the print area?

Hi Marisa yes! To do this I would recommend first exporting your document as a PDF (File ExportPDF). From there in the Options panel on the right you can choose from the options under the Content section.

Crop to Content will automatically adjust the PDF's area to the objects on your page

and Custom Crop will allow you to precisely set the PDF's area manually.

From there you can print your downloaded PDF! I hope this helps - let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you Michah! This worked:) and then in Adobe I was able to print just the specific page I needed to pdf. Hopefully in the future we can select which pages to print from Lucid maybe too.

Appreciate your help with this!!!

Thanks

Hi Marisa thanks for letting me know this worked! And I definitely understand that having that option directly within Lucid would be efficient and helpful - thanks for your feedback.

Hi @Micah ,

Is the ability to choose which layers to print an official product feature request? (sorry, not sure if those are tracked separately or not).

I’d definitely be a user of this type of feature.

@Marisa B101 what I end up doing most of the time is creating a duplicate of my document, keeping the layers I want to print, deleting the ones I don’t need, and then printing/exporting it. It’s a bit cumbersome, and leaves me with at least 1 extra version of it, but it works.

Happy Holidays!

Pablo

Hi @Pabst

This post is an official product feature request for this functionality! You can search other ideas in the community by searching and filtering by idea. I could not find another post requesting this feature. For more info on how we implement and collect feature requests, please refer to this post:
