Vishesh N

I have a file with 115 tabs and 10 teams working across the file.

How can I make sure that Only limited people can make changes to specific sheets (like locking tabs in google sheets)?

Hi Vishesh

Thanks for posting in the community! Because editing permissions are granted on a document-wide basis it is unfortunately not possible to limit certain pages to certain people if the document has been shared with all of them. However I can certainly see how that would be a useful tool - I’ve moved your post to our product feedback community space. Ideas shared here are reviewed by our development team for their consideration. Let me know if you have additional questions!

In the meantime if you need to manage editing permissions on a more specific level I would recommend breaking the document into multiple smaller documents for which all of the tabs can be granted similar editing permissions.

For anyone else working with editing permissions please begin by reviewing our Share with collaborators in Lucid article from our Help Center and post any questions below!

@Micah do you have the link to the new idea in the product feedback space?

@meghan.tighe Thanks for this question - you indeed are already on the post! 😁 Apologies for the confusion. I converted @Vishesh N’s original idea to a feedback thread in order for others to upvote it (near the top of the post), leave comments, and monitor the status. We’d love for you to do the same, and to hear anything else about what you’d like to see in this experience!
