Enabling the calculation of the JQL JIRA query in dynamic tables based on formulas on custom shapes
Hi,
I have dynamic tables that pull JIRA cards based on a JQL query within the dynamic table. In the same board, I have different dynamic tables with their own JQL. I would like to calculate, via a concatenation formula, those JQL queries based on shape custom data that I would pull from other shapes or from the page.
Could you please enable the possibility to calculate the JQL queries ? instead of just typing each of them by hand?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hi @Bruno B, I’d love to learn a bit more about this request. Would you be able to share an example to help illustrate the use case you’re hoping to support with this feature? Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Yes here is one example:
So what happens is that we have different boards for different Agile/SAFE/PI events. Those contain many different Dynamic tables with JQL queries.
Those are, for example,:
type = Feature and "PI Candidate[Select List (multiple choices)]" = 2025-Q3 and status NOT IN (Cancelled, Deprecated) and "Impacted Teams[Select List (multiple choices)]" = "PE - Product Dev"
type = Feature and "PI Candidate[Select List (multiple choices)]" = 2025-Q3 and status NOT IN (Cancelled, Deprecated) and "Impacted Teams[Select List (multiple choices)]" = "PE - Production Qual"
type = Feature and "PI Candidate[Select List (multiple choices)]" = 2025-Q3 and status NOT IN (Cancelled, Deprecated) and "Impacted Teams[Select List (multiple choices)]" = "PE - SAV"
...
For each quarter, I need to modifiy each of those JQL: “2025-Q3” → “2025-Q4”. and I would prefer to have a custom data at the page level that contains this value so that I only need to modify it once. This reduces risks of error and time.
Ideally I would also like to pull the value of the “Impacted TeamsSelect List (multiple choices)]” field form a container or from a list a page level.
I hope this is clear for you. Please don’t hesitate to ask for further information.
Sincerely,
Bruno
