It would be great to know the location of the currently open file e.g. in a property panel or top of the page.
There is a convoluted workaround in this post with too many steps to be useful:
REQUEST #1: display file path with open file from within the open file (e.g. a properties panel or even breadcrumbs above the "File Edit..." menu at the same level as the filename and Status
