Please add the ability to create our own Styles/Themes so we can apply corporate branding standards to our diagrams, ensuring that our users select brand-appropriate colors in their charts is an important part of maintaining our brand identity in our assets.
Also, another useful flavor of functionality toward this end would be the ability to import custom color sets from other documents, so that I don’t have to redefine the color palette on each new document, I can just pull from another document that has all the custom colors defined already.
But I like Chris’s request better as having a style definition actually live in a styles/themes library.
Thanks for continuing this thread with your input,
Hey everyone -- I wanted to drop a quick link here on a couple workarounds that are available for this case 😎
Hope this helps!
Thank you
Agree! It is tedious to have to add our corporate brand colors over-and-over to every new board.
This request is over 5 Years OLD!
I will be recommending that our company move to a tool that easily supports corporate branding.
It is apparent that you do not value corporate accounts.
Hi
It is incredibly valuable to us, but we’re not able to implement every single idea and submitting an idea does not guarantee that our development team will implement it. Some ideas conflict with other requests, while others might not make sense for the strategic development of our product. We have limited resources and need to carefully prioritize every improvement. We commit to keeping you in the loop where we can, and in turn we ask for understanding that we see and hear you, even if we’re not able to implement every request.
For more information on how to search for and contribute to ideas, get more involved, or stay in the loop about what’s new at Lucid, please refer to:

I fully recognize that not every feature request can be prioritized or implemented immediately. That said, this particular request stands out as both fundamental and strategically important.
For a company like Lucid, which positions itself as a solution for professional teams and organizations, the ability to apply custom branding—especially color profiles—should not be considered a “nice-to-have,” but rather a core feature. It directly impacts how users present and communicate their work, both internally and externally.
The vast majority of companies—likely over 99%—have established brand guidelines that they are expected to follow. This includes using specific colors, fonts, and visual styles in all forms of communication. When using Lucid to create charts, diagrams, and visual assets for presentations, meetings, or collaborative work, the absence of branding support becomes a significant limitation.
In external-facing scenarios, adhering to brand identity is not optional—it’s a requirement. And even internally, consistent branding reinforces professionalism, clarity, and trust. Without the ability to apply an organization’s own visual identity, users are forced to either manually adjust visuals outside of Lucid (which defeats the purpose of using the platform) or compromise on brand consistency.
In short: enabling custom branding is not just a feature—it’s a necessity for Lucid’s core user base. It enhances the platform’s value, aligns with professional standards, and removes a major friction point for adoption and long-term use.
Hi
While this is not a perfect solution, I may recommend a workaround of editing existing themes. After you have selected a theme, you can customize it according to your needs. I recommend checking out the Apply preset themes to style shapes in Lucidchart article to learn how. The ability to create and organize corporate templates may also be useful to your teams to create a starting point for their work.
While I know these suggestions may not directly address what you are hoping to see implemented, they may be helpful workarounds or features you can currently leverage.
Thank you again for taking the time to leave your detailed feedback, letting our product development teams know how important this feature is to you!
Given a branding page, guideline specifications (color codes, CSS), or even just a theme image, it would be great if Lucid AI could automatically generate a brand theme. This theme could then be applied to Mermaid diagrams or any other flow. The AI-generated corporate brand theme should be allowed for minor manual tweaks, just incase AI didn’t get it all of it correct.
We hope the Lucid team can prioritize and deliver this feature soon.
Hi
My team of developers loves using Lucid but I came here looking for this topic because our corporate brand is core to our identity. We are a company of over 300,000 and we cannot deviate from our style. I was hoping to find a way to import our templates to the app. I hope this does indeed get prioritized as it seems like a simple ask.
Thank you
Our product teams will continue to review feedback in this space of the community as they research new product features and product enhancements.
While the exact feature you’re hoping for might not be available, one item that comes to mind for your use case here is to create corporate templates for your account if you haven’t already. I recommend checking out this Help Center article to learn more: Create and organize corporate templates. To learn more about working with templates in Lucid, I recommend checking out this article: Start with a template.
