Change Owner of Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale documents

 I cannot find this answer anywhere so I apologize if it has been asked before.

I would like to assign a different owner to a chart. It is a single-user account where the maps have been created...I want to assign the owner to another separate single-user account. 

How do I do this?

Hi Maci - Thanks for reaching out! You cannot transfer ownership of specific documents to other users. You can download a backup file of your documents and give that file to the other user to upload into their account which will give them ownership however that will also give them all your other documents. Instructions on how to do this can be found at this Help Center page. Hope this helps!

Akshay thanks for posting! Although you can share a document and give others the ability to edit and share themselves ownership itself can't be transferred directly. However there's a simple workaround that Sara mentioned. You just have to download the document as a .VDX send it to the new owner and have them re-upload it. Then it will be fully their file.

How do you handle the scenario where a user is leaving the company? Is there a way to batch/bulk change ownership of documents to another user? Surely there's a better way than having to manually export then re-import every single document??

Thanks for following up. When an Account Owner removed a user from their team account they have the option to transfer that user's files to another person on their team.
