Hello.
What if the notes feature was turned into another element we can add to the board just like we can with a sticky note?
No more opening the feature to have it always stuck to the right side of the screen. By adding the notes feature to the board it provides additional functionality that the text feature doesn’t have. We could drag the edges to reshape or resize it. Then if we wanted to we could pin the note to remain open. It should be by choice instead of it’s not an option.
The drop down menu provides options like for headings but by introducing the notes feature as an element we can add to the board perhaps that drop down menu could be transformed into a slash command menu with even more options like color banners and toggle lists.
Adding the notes feature to the board is useful when we want to take long form notes alongside a YouTube video whereas the sticky notes are for brainstorming or brain dumping.
Add the notes feature to the board is also beneficial in order to combat the Miro docs feature.
Thank you for your time. Bye.

It doesn’t make sense that one of the reasons to not add notes directly onto the board is to avoid cluttering your board when adding more and more objects from the left hand toolbar will inherently clutter up the board.
Yes you can add a note to objects even YouTube videos but you can’t format the note for a YouTube video like you can for other objects or directly on the notes panel.

What if the Notes panel was a feature we could add to the board with the option to “pin to board” (pinning to the right-side as per usual) by right clicking on it? Best of both worlds?
Or what if the frame feature could be converted to a doc just like how a sticky note can be converted to a shape? The frame could be seen as the border of a doc so converting it could make sense…
Those docs would then be accessible on the homepage along with our boards.
