My go-to template for running brainstorming sessions is the “Impact Effort Matrix”. With this, my team can get started by freely adding ideas to the board, without worrying too much about feasibility or other constraints. Then, we move on to prioritize the ideas and decide which ones to implement based on how much effort they demand vs the impact they may have. It’s quite simple but very effective. We don’t need to spend too much time reading instructions or learning the rules of engagement as it’s all there laid down.
