We want to hear how you use Lucid to support your math instruction.  Look through what other teachers are doing and share your lesson examples with other teachers.  If you haven't used Lucid for Math yet here are a few templates to help you get started: Math Templates for Elementary Math Template Toolkit and Math Manipulatives.

I will tell anyone willing to listen that my favorite thing about Lucid is the locking feature.  I often create frameworks that students then use to solve different operations and with the locking feature students can only change content and avoid messing up too many things.

Hi @tom l

Thanks for sharing how you use the locking feature in the community! We have other teachers here who are learning the best ways to make a document accessible and editable for students while not allowing them to change the basic structure. If you have any tips on this please feel free to add your thoughts in this thread here.

Thanks for sharing how you are using Lucid in the classroom!

I use the program called Hands on Equations with my students.  It helps them solve algebraic type problems.  Sometimes the manipulatives get lost or we don’t have enough.  I created this is Lucid Charts to make sure each student had their own.  Students can drag the triangles for the x’s and the number cubes for the whole numbers.  After students have used the physical manipulatives, they know how to use the digital ones to solve equations.  The triangles are locked for size and content, but they can still move so they can be placed on the balanced scale.

The great thing about virtual math manipulatives is that each student has access to their own set of tools! This allows them to easily practice their skills and show what they know. Not to mention, clean up is much easier 😂

I love using the digital clocks manipulative to have students show their knowledge of reading digital time and showing it on an analog clock!
