Creating schedules for your school or district can be HARD!  Lucid is here to make it easier.  Learn how to quickly get started with our Master schedule template.  Don’t forget to look through how other educators use Lucid for schedules and share with the group how you use Lucid for creating schedules.

When I first started using Lucid I saw that another teacher uses Lucid to create their band performance schedules.  This really helped me organize all of the moving parts involved in putting together a successful program.

My team uses the calendar template to create a quick snapshot of shared responsibilities and events.  I like how easy it is to create edit and collaborate.  Here is our shared calendar for May of last school year.

These are both so easy to understand - I think they're super effective! Love all the colors too :)

I'm a gifted education teacher and more of a resource teacher - I have times that I'm typically open for collaboration and push in lessons.  This is a schedule I could share with my teachers so they know what times I have available.  I could add my digital plan book as a link to my gifted class lessons so teachers know what I'm doing with their students but I could also link my outlook calendar to the Push In sticky so they can request and schedule push in lessons for their classroom.

Hi Kathy this is such a great way to visualize your school schedule in a collaborative way to display potential openings. Let us know how it goes implementing it this school year - we love to hear your feedback!

I teach Dual Immersion for 5th Grade so I have used this to arrange my schedule to balance Math and Language Arts.  We recently changed our school hours so have several examples of a day breakdown.  Attached are the examples I have from last year to the upcoming year.

Hi @tom l thanks so much for showing us another great example of how you can visualize your class schedule in Lucid! Feel free to continue to share feedback and ideas with us and other teachers.

I have a dual role within my school which introduces a layer of complexity to my schedule. One part entails delivering classroom instruction during the designated teacher's preparation periods while the other involves providing targeted special education services through pull-out sessions. While an aesthetically pleasing schedule is certainly desirable I have found Lucid to be my tool of choice for schedule creation and management.

I structure my schedule by first reserving time slots dedicated to my classroom teaching responsibilities during which I am unable to conduct pull-out sessions. I then mark my own lunch (I can’t count how many times I’ve finished a schedule only to realize I don’t have lunch!) Then I review the schedules of my students identifying their prep periods and lunch breaks. This enables me to avoid scheduling pull-out sessions during these times. In addition I consider the schedules of students who receive supplementary services such as speech therapy occupational therapy and physical therapy and accordingly block out those time slots.

Lastly given that my sessions are conducted in group settings I employ a color-coded system to clearly demarcate the available periods for each group. This strategy seamlessly facilitated by Lucid is my schedule creation process. Lucid for the win!

Hi @shira m! Wow this description really helps us grasp how much you are juggling in one schedule -- and this visual you created makes it easy to understand. Thanks for sharing this example with us! We hope you're having a great start to this new school year 🎒
