Assistance with creating documents for Algebra 2

Hi @mkpopecksnow

Thank you for reaching out. Could you share a bit more about what kind of assistance you need with creating Algebra 2 documents? Whether it’s formatting, templates, or specific features, we’re happy to help.

Looking forward to your response!

Hi @mkpopecksnow! I'm not sure where you're located, so I'm not entirely certain what Algebra 2 covers in your area. However, around here, Algebra 2 typically includes topics like exponential functions, probability, and factoring polynomials.

To help with visual learning, I've included some links to Lucid resources:

These resources might be helpful for you or your students. Are there any other specific Algebra 2 topics you'd like some assistance with?

Thank you both for responding.  I am obviously new to Lucid.  I was hoping to use Lucid to assign homework and grade them on Lucid.  Is that even possible?  I would like to go paperless with most assignments.

Shira, we are now covering finding zeros of polynomials with exponential and logarithmic functions following.  Your notes you shared are fantastic.  Do you share your notes with your students through Lucid or do you give them a hard copy?

@mkpopecksnow you're in luck! Lucid is definitely a great tool for assigning and grading homework digitally. If you're using Canvas, you can easily integrate Lucid with it by following this helpful guide. If you don't use Canvas, you can create "force copy" links to share with students on your preferred LMS (like Google Classroom) by following this guide.

You can share individual questions or entire assignments on Lucid, and you can even include a rubric for scoring or have students self-assess. You can grade directly on the student's Lucid documents or simply record the grades in your LMS. For your finding zeros of polynomials with exponential and logarithmic functions assignments, you could use a Lucid document like this, which provides space for students to work through the problem step-by-step.

Thank you for the kind words about the examples! I did create some, but many are also fantastic templates available in the Lucid library – there's such a wide variety to explore.

I rarely print anything anymore for my students. I usually share my notes with them digitally, and they can access them online, print them if needed, or I can provide hard copies for individual students based on need. I sometimes use a clear document holder to display notes for visual learners during class.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
