Detailed Walkthrough

Doris uses Lucidchart in her business administration class at Northwest Career College.  Students fill out a business process flow chart to map out the steps of customers order fulfillment from when a customer places an order to when the product is shipped and received.  She uses this activity to teach students how different departments like sales, operations, and shipping coordinate to deliver customer value.

For this activity, each student builds their own flowchart to represent a real or fictional business process. This helps students improve their visual communication skills and better understand how these types of processes work in the real world. These skills are critical for anyone pursuing careers in business, management, or entrepreneurship. It also helps students to think systematically and efficiently when solving business operational problems.
