In this article we will review how embedded Lucid activities function for students in a Public Canvas course.
Instructors are able to set their Canvas course to be available to the public. This allows for students to access course content without logging in to Canvas. Because students are not required to log in there are a few items to be aware of when adding Lucid activities or content to a Public Canvas course.

Instructors are able to add Lucid activities to a Public Canvas Course, however only students who are logged in to Canvas will be able to see and interact with the Lucid content embedded in the Canvas course.

It is not recommended to include Lucid content in a Public Canvas course, unless all of the students accessing the course are able to log in to Canvas.
Students who access Lucid content in a Public Canvas course will receive the following error message if they are not logged in to Canvas. If students get Error Code: CE035, instruct them to log in to Canvas and try access the content again.
