Video: Baron shares how he uses Lucid for Network Topography lessons
Detailed Walkthrough
Baron wanted to create an activity that encourages participation, reinforces theory, builds communication skills, and teaches students how to categorize and apply network concepts. He chose Lucid because it’s an open collaborative brainstorming space. First, he creates a brainstorming board separated into four sections that include the main topic and key characteristics.
During class, students join the board and collaborate in real time using the sticky notes to share their ideas. This allows for a dynamic group discussion and helps visual learning engage with the material more effectively.
After completing the collaborative brainstorm, he led students through a two-truths and a lie activity to review and reinforce what they learned throughout the lesson. Students review several statements about network topology, identify which ones they believe are false, explain their reasoning, and reveal/discuss the correct answers at the end.
