I inserted a PDF of a floor plan and have been adding shapes to indicate locations of certain workstation assignments across teams. For some reason when I print to PDF, print to actual paper, or export to another document type, or copying and pasting into Word/PowerPoint/etc. some of the shapes shift slightly from where they are within the document itself. All of the shapes do not shift the exact same distance from the location in which they appear in the document when printed/exported/copied. I have tried this with multiple different documents and am having the same issue (did not have this issue weeks prior).

I have tried creating copies of the document, pasting into a new blank document, turning on and off the view>rendering>use WebGL, changing from infinite to finite canvas, trying incognito mode (I use Google Chrome). I have also tried moving a couple of the shapes in the opposite direction that they shift to see if they end up where intended when I print and they do, so I am not sure what is causing the actual misalignment with the printing or the export. Screenshots included below. Temporary Support PIN to the specific document is: VMaDU0U4Ox4P (valid until 10/08/2024, 11:52:38 PM)

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Hi @E.Taylor

To resolve alignment issues, consider adjusting the content scale settings when exporting and will treat this as step-1 for this triage.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!

Hi @Humas1985

Thanks for your quick reply! I have tried adjusting the content scale up and down (ranging from 50% to 150%) when both printing to PDF and exporting to PDF and tried JPEG & PNG, but the issue persists the same on all attempts.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks again!

@E.Taylor

Thanks for the update,

Seems this is document specific - we definitely have to take it to the community associates to take it to the dev team if needed.

Let's wait a bit to hear from the team on this.

Regards

@Humas1985 Thank you! Fingers crossed they will have some other solutions to try.

Hi @E.Taylor

Thank you for posting in the community and trying those troubleshooting steps @Humas1985 provided! I was able to activate your support pin and take a closer look at your document.I was able to reproduce the issue on my end and found that issue is not the shapes, but the embedded PDF. The PDF you have embedded in the document shifts in the export.

I believe you have identified a bug, and I have reported this to our development team. I apologize for any disruption this may cause, and I will update this thread with any new information about a fix. Please follow along on this thread for updates, and post any additional questions or concerns below.

Hi @Kelsey Gaag

Thanks for your reply and for looking into this! Okay that does make more sense. I hope the development team is able to fix the bug, and I will be sure to check this thread for further developments and hopefully resolution.

Thanks again!

@E.Taylor No problem! As a workaround I would suggest possibly trying a screenshot of the PDF as the background in the meantime.

Ah great suggestion, @Kelsey Gaag! I’ll try that in the interim 😊

@E.Taylor, Sounds great! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns in the meantime.
