When applying a filter to my org chart, it only returns the nodes which match the filter. Instead I would like to see the entire branch belonging to this node (i.e. all its parents). Is there a way to achieve this?

Sample of my org chart
The desired result if I filter for branches containing "Semester 1” - it includes the nodes with the text "Semester 1” as well as their parents
The desired result if I filter for branches containing "Semester 2”

PS. I realise that this is an unconventional way to use the org chart but I need to be able to create a tree like structure based on an excel import and this was the only way I could do that.

@Mich you are right in that this is an unconventional way to use the org chart, but it’s a great idea. I recommend that you repost this under Product Features so that people can vote on it so it can be part of a future release. If anyone knows of an existing way to make this work, please let us know!

Hi @Mich

Thank you for your post! I would recommend using actions and layers to create a chart to achieve this functionality in a regular flow chart.

By using actions and layers, you can create a chart that expands/collapses based on your selection. To learn how to do this check out this community post:
