I have been using LucidSpark as my virtual white board for over 2 years now.

I sketch on my sketch pad using a stylus, (with window ink enabled), and it has worked well all these time.

It stopped working today.  Whenever I attempt to write, the cursor ends, and the drawing snaps to the top-left corner of the screen.

You can see that all attempt to write, ends up with a line to the top left corner.

I have tried using a different sketch pad, different sketch pen, different browser, different software driver, and even a different computer. The only thing that will prevent that is to turn off window ink, and use my sketchpad as a mouse instead.

Which is really horrible because I lose the 1:1 mapping on the sketch pad, and I use the precision.

Is anyone else experiencing this?   I looked everywhere, and it all points to that it is a software issue with lucidspark.  Wh

As a quick comparison before, the window ink tracking was smooth and high resolution.

Please help.

Hi @andrew.wai, thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! I’m happy to help!

Thank you for confirming that you’ve attempted different browsers and computers. I suggest trying the following next if you haven’t already:

  • Make sure you're using the most recent version of your browser.
  • Lucidspark is optimized for Google Chrome, so if you haven’t already, please try the feature in Google Chrome to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Please try it again in a private or incognito window. This often improves performance by clearing your cache and cookies and disabling your extensions. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
  • Disconnect from your VPN if you are connected to one.

If the steps above don’t resolve the problem for you, can you send a screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output after reproducing this issue? You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J (if your computer is a Windows / Linux) OR Cmd + Opt + J (if your computer is a Mac).

Chrome is up to date.
These errors exists before any attempt in writing, and like before, if i switch to mouse mode instead windows ink mode it works.

But the day before i made the initial post, everything works in window’s ink mode.

Hi @andrew.wai, thank you for this additional detail and your screenshot. Can you please confirm that trying this in a private or incognito window does not resolve things for you? For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.

Additionally, could you specify the sketch pad device and the stylus you are using?

I have reproduced the problem in incognito, also in different browsers (edge and chrome).

I have reproduced the problem using the regular sketch pad I use, and using a different sketch pad (both the same model and brand), and also on the Epson BrightLink®️ Interactive Displays, when it’s on stylus mode.  In all instances, the only way to make it function (though not as good as before is to put the stylus into mouse mode it.

The model of the sketch pad is Huion1060PLUS(8192)

Hi @andrew.wai, thank you for verifying that information. It seems you have identified a bug that is impacting performance, and I have reported this to our development team.

I apologize for any disruption this may cause, and I will update this thread with any new information about a fix. I recommend copying and pasting your document links into a fresh tab, without using the home page document list, as this may improve performance in the meantime while the bug is worked on.

Please follow along on this thread for updates, and post any additional questions or concerns below.
