The line spacing is not maintained across different elements in UML sequence diagram.
Sometimes overlapping occurs between shapes and text as per below:
opt user not registered.
note over MW: perform registration
end
Workaround to avoid it:
opt user not registered\n\n.
note over MW: perform registration
end
Can we have a permanent fix for that ?

Kindly confirm, whether you tried UML Sequence Markup | Lucidchart, UML Sequence Markup tool to precisely position shapes and text.
