I Really need a way to search for a shape on a page.   I use lucid air wire maps and have hundred of Custome ships on a page.   I know how to find my shape and see its custom shape data, what I want to do is search for its shape data and have it highlighted or centered on the drawing.

Hi @Stephe

Lucidchart supports using conditional formatting based on custom data to visually highlight shapes, but it doesn’t currently allow automatic centering or jumping to shapes based on search results—manual navigation is still required.

To learn more - Add conditional formatting in Lucidchart – Lucid

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Hi @Stephe, thanks for your post! Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. We are using lucid to provide wire location charts for equipment location.   We have some custom shapes that we are using to mark different wire types and devices overlayed on a floor plan.  An office may have 30 devices, and a building may have hundreds per floor. We are linking to these shapes and actually pulling them into our database using your API and getting our custom data as well as your shape ID (shame on you guys for not including that on your export).  What I really want is to click on a shape in our data base and have it open the lucid file with the shape (after doing a lookup from the shape ID) shown centered in the drawing and maybe even highlighted.   Im sure other users could recognize this feature being adopted to theirs needs as well.   Seems like a lot of reward with minimal effort since you already have shape position information in the metadata.
