Hi all,

Myself and other users of Lucid need to refresh the documents page on the Lucid website in order to see certain updates made.

When I refresh the Lucid website and I have selected a “Shared with me” folder, the page refreshes and brings me back to the “My documents” page.

When I refresh a the Lucid website and I am in a folder not part of the “Shared with me” directory, the page refreshes and keeps me on the folder that I had opened before the refresh.

Has anyone encountered this issue or know of any possible fixes? I was thinking it could have been a cache issue, but new users are experiencing this as well.

@Jeremy T it sounds like you have encountered a bug. I recommend reporting bugs to the Product Support via a support ticket.

The refresh issue you're experiencing with the "Shared with me" feature is actually a limitation of Lucid's web navigation, rather than a bug or caching issue is what i sense.

To minimize the impact, consider using team folders or direct bookmarks.

We can also wait to hear more from product representatives, who may have the complete insight which could better address your requirements.

Hi ​@Jeremy T, thank you for your post. To confirm my understanding, are you referring to behaviour that you noticed when refreshing the documents list page?

In my example screenshot below, I am in the folder ‘Support’ which lives in the ‘Shared with me’ section of my documents list. Does refreshing this view take you back to ‘My documents’ view instead? 
 

 

If not, could you please share more information to help me take a closer look at what you’re experiencing? Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

Hi ​@Jeremy T, thank you for confirming that! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to reproduce that on my end. Could you try the following steps to help us narrow down the potential cause of the issue: 

  • Try refreshing your documents list in a private or incognito window. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
  • Try disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable).
  • Try connecting to a different network, if possible, a mobile hotspot.  

Sometimes, account performance issues like this can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility.

I have tried in an incognito tab but the issue still persists. Also, the user is not in a VPN tab. We have also tried different networks.

We noticed something strange, if we are in a folder that is a direct child of “Shared with me”, the page is reloaded currently back onto the folder we were on before the page reload. (e.g. the below image)

 

However, if we are on a folder that is deeper like a grand child folder of “Shared with me” (like the image below):

 

Then when the page is reloaded on that grand child folder of “Shared with me” it reloads back to “My documents”:

Hi ​@Jeremy T, thank you for sharing those screenshots ad further details. Have you noticed this happening folders in ‘My Documents’ as well or is it limited to ‘Shared with me’?

Would you mind enabling 3rd party cookies and then trying again? Please take a look at this article for information on how to do this.
